I mean, how are they supposed to say 'no - what you did was wrong and we're not going to reward you for forcing one of us into a porn game contest' when they rely entire on their fanbase to keep their channel afloat. Normally, I ignore it but, made the mistake of going to the main Grumps forum today and, of course, the fans are gushing over their excitement for their win after House Party explained their reasons why the Grumps won, despite the set rules ('we love them, so yay! They win!) - and I just had to get it off my chest in a forum where could speak my thoughts on it without the rabid fans losing their minds over my lack of support for an ill begotten win.įunny thing is, as much as I'm pissed at the Grumps for screwing over other male contestants I place the blame entirely on House Party developers and the rabid Grump fans - who essentially strong armed the Grumps into submitting themselves into this contest. A far as I'm concerned, the only legit winner whole thing is Lety. Decline, they piss off entitled fans who would no doubt pitch a fit over having all their hard work be for naught. Take part in the contest - they get the unfair advantage and receive a hollow win. In the end, The Grumps were screwed either way. Their win is due to the developers choosing to disregard their own rules to make them the winners. Not only did the Grumps have an unfair advantage over the rest of the male contestants (who were no name internet randos, at best), the House Party developers violate their own rules and granted that single male winner slot to the Grumps screwing over legit male contestants in favor of Youtube celebs (no doubt, so they could bank more profit for their game from fans who are hoping to romance either Grump).Īm I the only one peeved by this? I get they liked the game - and, I'll admit, it was a hilarious playthrough - but, because of how they came to be submitted in this contest, the win feels incredibly hollow and grossly unfair to the legit male contestants who entered the contest without provocation.Įdit: To be clear I'm not blaming the Grumps for this. When the Grumps found out about the submission - whether they did it out of obligation for the fans for all their 'hard work' or due to personal interest, no one knows for sure - they submitted themselves as a pair and won (again, due to fans blowing up the ballots so they'd win and the game developers considering it a valid win, despite it violating their own set contest rules). After some thoughtless fan submitted Dan (without his blessing) into the contest, the fans flooded the ballots so Dan would get the winning spot. According to the game developers own rules there were two winner slots - for one male and one female.
